This week, project partners Matteo Merzagora of Traces, Paris, and Paola Rodari of SISSA Medialab, Trieste are presenting at the Euro-Med Young Reporters on the Environment Seminar in The Israel National Museum of Science in Israel.

As part of the SiS Catalyst Project, we are working on the development of a SiS benchmarking and monitoring framework. This framework is intended to estimate how "fit and ready" science organisations are to engage with atypical young recipients - which is highly relevant for Children's Universities and similar activities.

We are currently piloting this, and asking a number of organisations involved in children's activities to fill out a short questionnaire.

We are delighted to announce a second speaker for our upcoming conference at the University of Tartu, Estonia.

Laura Lundy is a Professor of Education Law and Children’s Rights in the School of Education, Queen’s University, Belfast and a Barrister at Law. She is the Director of the Centre for Children’s Rights at Queen’s, an interdisciplinary research collaboration on children’s rights.

We are pleased to announce four internship opportunities are available through our internship programme organised by our partner the European Student's Union.

The internships are offered by host organisations in the United Kingdom and Austria and are expected to take place between May and August 2013.

The second “Tell your science tale” workshop took place in Paris last week. 11 high school students (from 15 to 16 years old) met researchers working in different fields of chemical analysis and a movie director Hugo Jouxtel.

We are pleased to announce that our first speaker for the Tartu Conference will be Zack Kopplin, a 19 year old student and science education activist from Louisiana. 

Kopplin will be giving a keynote on the Wednesday afternoon of our Tartu Conference on the topic ‘Perceptions of a Global Change Agent.’
